A long rally, a quick change of ends, one more serve. Then someone asks: “Was that 30–30 or 40–30?” If you have ever stopped a padel match to piece together the last few points, you know how easily the score can slip your mind.
The PadelGrab ScoreKeeper gives you a simple way to keep a visible record, so you can get on with the next rally.
What is the ScoreKeeper?
The ScoreKeeper is a compact, mechanical score counter for padel and tennis. You move its sliding markers by hand to record the score. It is made from plastic, weighs just 2 grams and needs no batteries, app or internet connection.
The display has separate sections for points and games, with a marker for each side. That makes it easy to check both the current game and the game score without relying entirely on memory.
How to use it during a match
- Start at zero. Reset the points and games before you begin, and agree which colour represents each team.
- Update after each point. Move the winning team's point marker before the next serve.
- Record each game. When a team wins a game, adjust its game marker and reset the point markers.
- Check together. Keep calling the score aloud so all four players can follow along.
For example, if your team wins a point at 30–30, move your marker to 40. If you win the next point and the game, add a game and return the point markers to zero.
A quick reminder of padel scoring
Points normally progress from 0 to 15, 30 and 40, followed by game. At 40–40, the next steps depend on your match format. Agree the rules before playing, including how you will handle deuce and deciding points. A score counter records your score; it does not choose the rules or detect who won a rally.
Make keeping score a habit
The most useful routine is a short one: call the score, move the marker, then serve. If two players both update the counter, it is easy to count a point twice, so choose one person to manage it.
Whether you are learning the game or playing your regular doubles session, a visible score can help reduce interruptions and uncertainty. You still need to update it consistently, but you no longer have to reconstruct every point from memory.
